Hillcrest Film Society is showing the certificate 12 film 'Son of Rambow' at the Hillcrest Centre in Newhaven on July the 20th.
A long English summer in the early 80s and two boys, Will Proudfoot, brought up in a strictly religious household and Lee Carter, the school trouble-maker, form an unlikely friendship. After Lee shows Will "Rambo: First Blood", Will is easily persuaded to act in Lee's home-made movie sequel.
"Son of Rambow" is a heart-warming nostalgic comedy about two boys with a big video camera and even bigger ambitions.
The Hillcrest cafe opens at 6.30pm for delicious food and refreshments and the film starts at 7.30pm.
Tickets £4.50 only available at the Hillcrest Centre.
