SEAFORD MAYOR'S GARDEN TRAIL

June 14th, 2017.

Eight uniquely different gardens opened their gates on Sunday to raise money for the Mayor of Seaford's charity for 2017; Seaford Lifeguards.

The official opening for the trail was organiser, Geoff Stonebanks's award winning garden, Driftwood, in Bishopstone. On hand to support the Mayor of Seaford, Cllr Linda Wallraven, was newly re-elected MP, Maria Caulfield, Liz Holland, Consort; Mark Brown, Deputy Mayor; Young Mayor, Thomas Exley; Steve Buckledee of Pomegrante, who generously sponsored the event again, and Geoff himself.

The Mayor visited all eight gardens, which were also visited by two Community Support Officers as part of their work attending community events.

The trail raised £2040 for the Mayor who said after the event; "Geoff you're a star. Thank you so much and to everyone who supported this wonderful event. Stunning gardens and all unique in their different ways. What a fantastic start to my fundraising year."

Geoff said he had been worried on the day as the weather was not that good, but was wonderfully surprised when all the money came in and topped £2000.
