Newhaven Historical Society holds its next meeting this Tuesday, the 5th of April, at the Hillcrest Centre in Newhaven. The meeting starts at 7.30pm with the AGM, followed by two presentations of photos of Old Newhaven.

Dr. Jenny Flood and Stefan Storoszko will delve into the thousands of historical photos in the Newhaven Museum collection. There will be some fascinating stories about the town, including the ever-popular Newhaven Then and Now, plus a demonstration of how you can use the photo database to search for photos of buildings, boats, places and people.

With a long-standing connection between Newhaven and Ukrainian refugees dating back to the 1940’s, the raffle proceeds from the evening will be donated to the British Red Cross, Ukraine Crisis Appeal.
