GAME OF THRONES STAR COMES TO SEAFORD

June 27th, 2018.

Game of Thrones star Brenock O'Connor will be the VIP guest at the Seaford Community Cinema gala showing of his latest film The Bromley Boys, which also stars comedian Alan Davies and actress Martine McCutcheon. Screenwriter and patron of the Barn Theatre, Seaford, Warren Dudley will also be attending for a Q and A.

The fundraising evening is in aid of the refurbishment of the theatre. Works will replace the 130 40-year-old seats which were originally donated by the Theatre Royal, Brighton, upon their renovation.

West Sussex actor Brenock is best known for playing the part of Olly in the Sci-Fi smash hit series Game of Thrones. 'Olly' was responsible for delivering the fatal blow to fan favourite, Jon Snow, and the actor received threats on social media from people seemingly unable to tell fantasy from reality. "I'm really looking forward to coming to Seaford to support the Barn Theatre," said Brenock. "I have a lot of friends in the town and know it well."

The film premiered at Wembley Stadium in May and has been shown at selected cinemas and football clubs around the country to great reviews.

The Bromley Boys is a funny yet touching coming of age football memoir played out to the sights and sounds of late 60's Britain. Based on the hilarious novel by Dave Roberts, it recounts the author's highs and the lows supporting the worst football team in the country at the time - Bromley FC.

Tickets can be purchased online HERE, or from the Tourist Information Centre, Broad Street, Seaford during office hours.
