Newhaven Bowling Club enjoyed a successful September, winning the Jubilee Cup at Crouch Bowling Club against Peacehaven.

The ‘Kestrels’ team comprising of Margaret Pellett, Jose Baker, Oliver Chapman and Peter Tyrrell, overcame the ‘Flying Fish’ team from Peacehaven 23 – 16.

The Junior section finished their season with Willow Allen winning Best Junior Bowler and was an ever-present at all the Saturday morning sessions, run by qualified coach, Janet Pollitt and her team of volunteers.

At the  Finals Day is was celebration and congratulations to 3-time winner Sylvia Davies; 2-time winners Graham Hillman, Janet Pollitt, Peter Blackman, plus all our other winners, including their first Finals Day win for Jackie Finnie and Stuart Penfold.

The club members are now looking forward to the presentation evening at Seaford Head Golf Club on October the 28th and to more success in 2017, when the club will be continuing its Fort Road HQ.
