Newhaven Town Council has honoured Pat and Judith Ost with Freedom of the Town of Newhaven in recognition of their individual service as councillors to the town over a period of 24 years. Both Pat and Judith also served individually as Newhaven Town Mayor in 1993/94 and 2014/15 respectively.

Newhaven Town Mayor, Cllr. Lesley Boniface stated that; “Life as a councillor at any level of local government is a wholly voluntary role, which at times can be very demanding, but at the same time very rewarding for the individual and ultimately beneficial to the communities they serve.

"Pat and Judith have provided outstanding and lengthy service, and it is both fit and proper that such meritorious service is recognised in this way. Newhaven Town Council gives them its sincerest gratitude.”
