Newhaven town centre visitors can look forward to additional parking with the reopening of the two upper levels in the Dacre Road car park.

LDC aims to secure planning permission for the new lighting designs in the car park, and the top levels reopening in the summer.

Lewes District Council is managing a multi-million transformation of Newhaven town centre that includes the relocation of two doctor’s surgeries to new healthcare facilities in Newhaven Square, and the expansion of Wave Active facilities at Seahaven Swim & Fitness to support the rehabilitation of patients and promotion of healthier, more active lifestyles.

Councillor Zoe Nicholson, Leader of Leader of Lewes District Council, said: “I’m delighted that the designs for the new surgeries have now been agreed, with an anticipated start on site later this summer and a target completion by early 2026.”
