NEWHAVEN BASED CHEEKY WIPES WINS QUEEN'S AWARD

October 26th, 2021.

Newhaven based Cheeky Wipes was presented with the Queens Award for Enterprise in the category of Sustainable Development last month. The presentation was planned to take place back in August, but due to Covid had been rearranged.

Helen Rankin started Cheeky Wipes almost 13 years ago and the business is now based at Eastside Business Park in Newhaven. "We were absolutely delighted to find out that we made the shortlist back in October, so winning this very illustrious award is just incredible” said Helen. “My team really believe in our products and the brand and how we can make a difference together. It’s brilliant to have that recognised and we thank Her Majesty The Queen for her selection and can’t wait to fly the emblem flag proudly.”

The entry requires businesses to identify and prove how they meet the 16 UN Sustainable Development goals, which look at every element of the supply chain, from factories to packaging through staff initiatives such as enouraging cycling to work and reusing packaging.
