LOCAL PUNK ROCKERS RELEASE BOND SONG FOR CHARITY

September 7th, 2021.

Before local five-piece band, Creature Creature, hit the studio with folk-punk legend, Frank Turner, to record a new EP, they will be releasing their long-awaited, unofficial Bond song in aid of two charities close to their hearts; Pancreatic Cancer Action and St Wilfred’s Hospice.

Last month it was announced that the 25th James Bond film would be called ‘No Time To Die’. Just over three weeks later, Creature Creature released an original track with the same name on YouTube, which has since racked up close to 100,000 views.

With this groundbreaking track, produced by Tom Gleeson, (Slaves to Gravity, Feeder), and mastered by Pete Maher, (U2, The Rolling Stones), Creature Creature, who have shared festival line ups with Manic Street Preachers, The Hives and many more, have crafted a song that not only reflects the franchise both musically and lyrically, but also stands strong in its own right.

The film suffered many setbacks and delays following the announcement of the title, and there was even speculation it may go straight to streaming. Now, with the cinematic release finally getting the go-ahead for the 30th of September in the U.K., Creature Creature are working closely with the charities to raise as much awareness of the campaign as possible.

"We lost our good friend and excellent photographer, Will Suttill, to pancreatic cancer in 2019 when he was only thirty-three years of age, and St Wilfred’s Hospice were fantastic to him in his final months. Pancreatic cancer suffers from an extreme lack of awareness and funding, so when we decided we wanted to fundraise through the release of our song, St Wilfred’s Hospice and Pancreatic Cancer Action were the obvious choices," explains Scully, the frontman of Creature Creature.

"We will donate 50% of first month sales and streams of our original Bond song to the charities," he added.

The band have also launched a Just Giving page if people wish to donate directly to the cause, and will also be running fundraising events in the build-up to the song’s release.

Daniel Craig’s final outing in the 25th Bond film, ‘No Time to Die’, will be released in U.K. cinemas on the 30th of September, with Creature Creature’s theme released worldwide to stream and download the following day on Friday the 1st of October.
