LOCAL BUSINESS DONATES £10000 TO CHARITIES IN 18 MONTHS

A Seaford based business has donated more than £10,000 to local charities and national community good causes over the past 18 months.

Former journalist turned agency content creator Jerry Lyons is the founder of the Estate Agent Content Club (EACC), which provides weekly content marketing articles for non-competing independent estate agents.

The charitable arm of the business, called The Karma Club, launched in September 2019, and the £10,000 it has donated since then has been match-funded by members of the EACC.

Local groups that have benefitted from its donations include Premier United FC, South Coast Boxing Club, Cradle Hill School, and homeless charity Surviving the Streets.

Each month, the Karma Club donates £5 from each of its client’s monthly fees into a ‘pay it forward pot’, which is tallied up and donated to different charities or grassroots organisations each month.

Jerry says: “We’re proud to hit the £10K landmark. Charitable giving is a crucial part of our business.

“There are so many brilliant grassroots charities and community groups out there and thanks to our clients for supporting what we do.”

The Karma Club reflects the EACC’s three core principles: creativity, community, and value.

Jerry added: “I think every business needs a purpose – something more than just making money. We can all do something positive in a world where there’s a lot of negativity.”
