October 5th, 2017.

The James Ross Jewellers charity golf day held in September has raised £1,625 for Newhaven lifeboat. The event raised £4,875 in total, which was shared equally between Newhaven RNLI, Rockinghorse Childen’s Charity and Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice.

Three cheques were presented by James Ross and event organiser Terry Pierce.

James Ross Jewellers has raised over £36,000 through its charity golf days, including over £5,000  in recent years for Newhaven lifeboat.

Newhaven lifeboat Coxswain Paul Legendre explained: "It’s the donations like this that help keep us afloat, so we can offer our valuable lifeboat service. Every single donation really does make a difference."

James and Terry are already working on next year’s event which will be held on Friday the 15th of June 2018. If you would like a fun round of golf and raise some money for great local charities, including Newhaven lifeboat, then contact James at info@jamesrossjewellers.co.uk.
