FRIENDS OF TIDE MILLS DECEMBER MEETING

December 17th, 2018.

Jim Skinner reports:

16 Friends of Tide Mills completed their last 2018 meeting yesterday, in initially good weather. We collected around eight sacks of rubbish and some larger items which, due to the recent gales, very sadly almost all of which originated from the sea......

Following our meeting, we were due to enjoy our annual Christmas Picnic, but our British weather being as it is, we were forced into a hasty retreat and consequently our picnic this year didn't happen!

I would like to personally thank all our members for their ongoing support and enthusiasm throughout this year in helping to ensure Tide Mills continues to be championed and cared for - what a great bunch you all are. Our heartfelt thanks also go out to the many casual litter picker champions and other community groups who also do their bit for this fantastic open space on our doorstep.

Our first meeting of 2019 is on Sunday the 20th January, always the third Sunday of the month, if interested in joining our friendly little band, please contact me at brianjimskinner@gmail.com or visit www.friendsoftidemills.webs.com
