The Friends of Tide Mills have this morning held their November meeting, in what one would call challenging weather conditions....

Thirteen of us collected six bags of assorted rubbish, one bag of recyclables and any amount of heavy items, mostly fishing industry related.

The vast majority of our rubbish haul comes in from the sea, which given the gales of late, is not a surprise. What a sad state of affairs which will not ease until we stop using the sea as a dustbin.

Our next meeting is on Sunday the 17th of December.
