CHURCH OPENS DOORS TO ALL

September 12 2014.

Seaford Baptist Church, that distinctive round building with the wedding cake and ski-jump roofs, is opening its doors to all the world on Saturday the 27th of September.

The Church, which has served Seaford from this its 3rd site, in Belgrave Road, since the 1970's, opens its doors to many organisations throughout the week from Blood Donors to Council Meetings, from Brownies to Machine Knitters, to Musical Groups and to Voters, and of course to anyone who wants to drop in to Sunday Services. But on Saturday the 27th of September it is making visitors especially welcome with an Open Morning. If you are curious about what goes on inside, you are invited to just drop in.

From 10.00am until 1.00pm you will be offered a warm welcome, refreshments, and the opportunity to ask questions of its members about what they do and what they stand for. SBC has given Seaford the Waves Family Support organisation, the iconic "Transformers" Holiday Club, Early Birds pre-School, the Concert Choir and the Band of Brothers folk group, Scallywags for Parents and Toddlers, and superb Youth Work, among others.

Other groups and activities will have stalls giving information and selling goods, there will be art demonstrations and sales, and the cake-stall is legendary. There will be guided tours of the premises too. The Church is located at the junction of Belgrave and Westdown Roads, it is an accessible building, and admission is free.
